History – More than 12 years industry experience spanning web, marketing and graphic design. In 2005, Sean founded Taproot Creative in an effort to build a better mousetrap. The result was a hybrid communications agency, built of the belief that traditional marketing and new media are the “two wings that make the bird fly.”
Personal – Graduate of Florida State University. Lives in Tallahassee with his hot wife and three children. Longtime martial arts practitioner with a black belt in the Philippine Martial Arts. Does what he loves, loves what he does.

Creative Director
Job – Listen. Think. Consult. Solve problems and create solutions. Manage campaigns and processes. Design and direct insanely cool stuff including websites, identity, branding initiatives and print-based media.
History – Well over a decade of experience and knowledge in a diverse range of the communication arts with expertise in virtually all areas of creative development. Jon has worked with Polaris Industries, Tor Publishing, Pan Macmillan, Florida Department of Education and Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce.
Personal – Graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Savannah College of Art and Design, providing a foundation in everything from art history to creative writing and in between. Jon reads anything that’s handed to him, dabbles in photography, writes the occasional rant and spends far too much time trying to come up with new ways to be sarcastic and cynical, which either drives his fiancé nuts or makes him more endearing to her… he’s not sure which.

Director of Strategic Communications
Job – Listen. Oversee brand management, corporate communications, client relations and community affairs. Lead clients in the development of relationship-building strategies to enhance brand value.
History – Strategy whiz with nearly a decade of experience in the communications realm. Previously served as vice president of communications for the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend, as senior account executive and director of new media at CoreMessage, Inc., and as account coordinator at The Zimmerman Agency. Past experience also includes print journalism and sports marketing.
Personal – Summa cum laude graduate of Florida State University’s College of Communication. Earned Accreditation in Public Relations in 2007. Serves on the boards of the Knight Creative Communities Institute, the Capital Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association and The Village Square. Member of Leadership Tallahassee Class 27. Wife, mom, gym rat and sports fanatic.

Lead Designer, Web Ninja
Jobs – Create. Analyze. Contribute to the company’s creative process and prepare final designs for the web. Beat web projects into submission so they achieve proper validation and meet ADA accessibility standards (Section 508). Serve as the company’s internal CSS evangelist.
History – Formerly a designer with adidas/Reebok. Lucas considers himself, first and foremost, a designer although he finds himself immersed in the world of development more often than he’d like to admit. While advanced Photoshop and UI design are his primary passion, Lucas knows his way around xHTML, CSS, PHP, JS and various other acronyms, like a … well, lets just say he knows his way around those things quite well.
Personal – When he’s not bangin’ away at the keyboard he spends his time with his loving wife and taking pictures all around the City of Tallahassee.

Senior Developer
Job – Invent. Execute complex backend solutions for multiple platforms and environments. Lead research and new media efforts.
History – More than eight years experience in designing and developing Flash-based web tools, games and web applications.
Personal – When Rich isn’t working he’s usually at the gym climbing or traveling to anywhere with mountains. He enjoys making climbing holds, drawing, photography, and toying around with various programming languages and platforms.

Web Designer
Jobs – Create. See. Implement. Design and develop websites. Build and customize content management systems. Explore new and innovative ways to expand the capabilities of the company.
History – Recent college grad and freshman to the real world. Held web design internships with Corven Engineering, Inc. and Homes.com. During college, Taylor served as a help desk technician for the university’s IT department. Previous experience as a freelance designer.
Personal – Graduated from Mercer University in Macon, GA. Spends most of his time trying to stay in shape, dabbling on the guitar, counting down until college football season, watching reruns of Seinfeld, and of course, always trying to stay on top of all the latest and greatest happenings in the design world.
